Job summary

LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a CAD Designer to join our engineering team. You will create detailed mechanical drawings using CAD software and develop 2D layouts and 3D models.

You will manage product data within PLM and ERP systems, enter bills of materials, and support revision control, engineering changes, and ECN processes. • Use CAD software to generate 2D drawings and 3D models of components, assemblies, and structures.
• Support engineering, manufacturing and quality teams by providing accurate and timely drawings, bills of material, and documents for product development, production, and quality assurance.
• Ensure accuracy and adherence to product requirements and standards.
• Implement revision control, change management, and ECN processes.
• Collaborate with team members to review and revise drawings as needed.
• Prepare and maintain documentation within PLM related to design changes, revisions, and approvals.
• Assist in the development and implementation of drafting standards and procedures.
• Stay updated on CAD and PLM software advancements and industry best practices.

CAD Designer

As a CAD Designer at Layer Zero, you will play a critical role in our design and production processes, with a focus on utilizing CAD software and managing product data within our PLM and ERP systems. You will work closely with mechanical and electrical engineers to create detailed drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software. You will create technical documents under the direction of engineers. You will facilitate engineering workflows such as product releases and engineering changes within PLM software. You will generate and enter bills of material into ERP system. Excellent communication, teamwork and attention to detail are essential skills in this role.
