TST Fab & Machine LLC in Norfolk, VA seeks a CAD Designer/Detailer to create shop drawings and fabrication-ready designs that support welding, cutting, machining, and assembly operations.

Work with project managers, engineers, and fabricators to ensure buildable, accurate designs that meet strict NAVSEA, MIL-SPEC, shipyard, and high-spec industrial standards. Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD is required.

Qualificações

• 2+ years of technical drawing experience
• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• Proficiency in Tru Tops Boost
• AutoCAD experience required
• Metal fabrication experience
• Ability to read engineering drawings

Responsabilidades

• Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD drawings for fabricated metal components
• Produce shop-ready fabrication drawings, including dimensions, weld symbols, tolerances, and material specifications
• Develop cut lists, BOMs, and layout drawings as required
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, welders, and fabricators to ensure accuracy and feasibility
• Review and interpret customer drawings, specifications, and scope of work
• Revise drawings based on field changes, RFI responses, or fabrication feedback
• Maintain organized drawing files and revision control
• Support continuous improvement by identifying design efficiencies and fabrication improvements
