Job summary
FlatironDragados is seeking a skilled CAD Designer in Portland, OR to join our construction team. You will create shop drawings, prepare preliminary designs, and verify layouts against project requirements under guidance from senior engineers.
The role requires a technical degree in CAD/Engineering, 4+ years CAD experience, and 3+ years in construction. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit is preferred. Benefits include solid compensation and growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- Technical or associate degree in CAD/Engineering required.
- 4+ years of CAD experience required.
- 3+ years in Construction industry required.
Responsibilities
- Create shop drawings with tolerances, dimensions, materials and data.
- Prepare preliminary designs for review by Construction Engineer team.
- Analyze sketches to determine best approach for drawings using internal software.
- Identify locations/structures needing engineering.
- Ensure drawings comply with engineering requirements and company standards.
- Build detailed drawings describing construction design intent and critical elements.
