Job summary

FlatironDragados is seeking an experienced CAD Drafter to create shop drawings and preliminary designs for complex civil projects in Plum, PA. You will work under guidance from Construction Engineers and Sr. CAD Designers to ensure accurate drawings and compliance with specifications.

The role requires a technical CAD background, 4+ years in CAD, and 3+ years in construction. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit is preferred. On-site collaboration with project teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or Associate’s degree in CAD, Engineering, or related technical field.
• 4+ years of experience with CAD.
• 3+ years of experience within the Construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Creates shop drawings including tolerances, dimensions, materials, and technical project data based on guidance and design specifications.
• Prepares preliminary designs in accordance with construction means and methods to be reviewed by the Construction Engineer team.
• Analyzes sketches, notes, and input materials to determine best approach to complete drawings using internal software.
• Identifies locations and structures that need engineering.
• Evaluates layout drawings to ensure compliance with requirements, standards, and project specs.
• Builds detailed drawings describing construction design intent and critical elements.
