Job summary

Nestlé USA is seeking a CAD Engineering Designer to deliver preliminary design and drafting support across architectural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines using AutoCAD 2025, with proficiency in 2D/3D and Autodesk Inventor. The role supports capital projects with factory and Group Engineering teams and may require 10–20% travel to other Nestlé locations and vendors.

The candidate should have a high school diploma (college degree preferred) and 4–6 years of industrial design experience;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; college degree in a related field preferred.
• Professional certification in industrial design/drafting, specifically using AutoCAD, preferred.
• Technically competent and highly proficient in AutoCAD 2D/3D to support Early Management principles.
• 4–6 years of experience in industrial design, preferred.
• Work experience in a TPM environment is preferred.
• AutoDesk Inventor or AutoCAD factory design suite experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keep factory drawings up-to-date and archived at the factory/site.
• Support factory engineers and operations in layouts and flow sheets during design phases.
• Assist with large print requests for factory events and VIP visits.
• Propose alternatives to support Early Management principles.
• Provide basic design support using AutoDesk Inventor for operational projects.
• Update and coordinate engineering drawing guidelines and specs.
• Maintain standards for engineering drawings per Group Engineering standards.
• Organize engineering drawings and manuals in paper and electronic formats; digitize drawings as needed.
• Provide training to factory engineers or contractors on drawings.
• Manage small building improvement projects with contractor supervision.
• Support SAP and NIMT administration within Engineering.
• Travel to other Nestlé factories and vendor sites as required.
