We are currently seeking a Designer to develop conceptual designs, review drawings, and provide support to the engineering team. This role will design project‑specific items to be manufactured by our company and partner manufacturers, and will facilitate internal workflow as needed. The position collaborates with Project Management and Engineering professionals to develop design concepts and engineering documents.

Salary: $88,000 - $90,500 per year

Responsibilities

• Research and review project requirements and design information to determine sufficiency and feasibility of the design concept
• Assist with preparation of standard engineering documents and calculations using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor 3D
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Engineers to establish essential functions and deadlines for specific projects
• Determine appropriate methods to create drawings using client‑customized templates, standard templates, or updates to existing CAD files
• Analyze reports, maps, drawings, tests, and other design data to plan and develop projects
• Complete drawings in alignment with the Scope of Work and make corrections following quality review
• Review drawings from other drafters to ensure alignment with scoping and corporate drafting standards
• Assist project managers with preparation of work scopes and project estimates

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Drafting or CAD Technology with 3–5 years of experience, or 8 years of demonstrated experience in a mechanical engineering field
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor 3D required; Creo Sheetmetal experience is a plus
• Prior experience in engineering design or ASME pressure vessel manufacturing is helpful
• AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor 3D performance test required
