Job summary

Sapphire Recruitment, LLC is seeking a CAD Designer to join a prestigious manufacturer near North Syracuse, NY. The role focuses on creating and updating 3D models and 2D drawings for engineered systems and standard mechanical designs.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, and Project Management to ensure drawings are accurate and on schedule, while maintaining Autodesk Vault data and driving CAD process improvements.

Qualifications

• AAS degree, CAD Certification, or BS preferred.
• 3+ years of parametric modeling/CAD experience preferred.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor preferred.
• Strong communication and problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create and update accurate 3D models and 2D CAD drawings for custom engineered systems and standard mechanical designs.
• Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, and Project Management to complete drawing requests accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain CAD files and engineering data within Autodesk Vault using established folder structures and naming standards.
• Develop intelligent models and drawing tools to reduce drawing/document creation time and improve efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by incorporating feedback and identifying opportunities to improve CAD processes.
