Job summary

We are looking to hire a CAD Engineer to work for a prestigious Manufacturer in the North Syracuse, NY area.

Duties include creating and maintaining 3D models and 2D drawings, collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing, and maintaining CAD data in Autodesk Vault to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required; Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor preferred; SolidWorks experience will also be considered.
• Strong 3D CAD modeling and 2D mechanical drawing experience; Autodesk Vault or similar CAD/PDM experience is beneficial.
• Programming experience (C, Visual Basic, etc.) and/or 3D printing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain accurate 3D models and 2D mechanical drawings for custom engineered systems, equipment, and standard product updates.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing to complete drawing requests accurately and on schedule in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Maintain CAD data within Autodesk Vault and develop intelligent models, drawing tools, and processes to improve efficiency and reduce drawing creation time.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation within CAD processes, tools, standards, and integration with business systems.
