Job summary

Sage Engineering Associates, LLP is seeking CAD Designers of all experience levels to join our growing team in Albany, NY to design and draft mechanical and/or electrical systems for building projects.

You will create detailed technical drawings and specifications, collaborate with engineers and contractors, and use AutoCAD and Revit to deliver 2D drawings and BIM models while reviewing shop drawings and maintaining project records.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Engineering Technology, Computer Aided Drafting or related field.
• Excellent verbal, written and computer skills.
• Ability to perform under time constraints.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Ability to work in a team environment and learn from Senior Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for building construction projects in mechanical and/or electrical disciplines.
• Collaborate with engineers and contractors to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
• Utilize CAD software to create 2D drawings and BIM models.
• Review shop drawings and submittals from contractors.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and file management.
