Job summary

Actalent in Plano, TX is seeking a Designer to join a growth-focused team. You will work on CAD models and fabrication drawings, primarily using AutoCAD Plant 3D, with a focus on water and wastewater equipment.

Candidates should have AutoCAD 3D, P&ID experience, skid design, and familiarity with fabrication drawings; travel is limited. This contract-to-hire role offers growth potential and a collaborative engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Designer needed with AutoCAD 3D experience and Plant 3D familiarity.
• Knowledge of P&ID drawings and skid design is required.
• Experience with fabrication drawings for water treatment equipment.

Responsibilities

Designer Overview:

We're looking for a Designer to join a growing team with the below experience/skills:

• AutoCAD 3D (AutoCAD Plant 3D Highly preferred)
• P&ID's
• Skid design experience
• Fabrication drawings
• Experience working within Water treatment systems or wastewater industries

Work Environment

This role is based in an office environment focused on the design and documentation of water and wastewater treatment equipment. You will primarily work on CAD models and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD Plant 3D, Advanced Steel, and Microsoft Office tools. Travel is not typically required, except for occasional visits to a local fabrication shop to support constructability reviews or design coordination. The work setting emphasizes adherence to ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and established safety procedures, with a professional atmosphere that supports collaboration with designers and engineers. The position offers a contract-to-hire path with the potential for a notable increase in compensation upon transition to permanent employment, along with the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects..

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Plano, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
