Job summary

Actalent seeks a contract Mechanical Engineer in Redmond, WA to address tooling design, fabrication, and production-support projects. You will partner with mechanical, manufacturing, and design teams to advance backlogged tooling work and improve manufacturability.

The role requires 5–10 years in mechanical engineering, strong CAD experience (Siemens NX) with GD&T, 3D modeling, and detailed drawings, plus Teamcenter. On-site work and hourly pay of $65–$68.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of Mechanical Engineering experience.
• 3+ years of CAD design experience involving complex systems design, 3D modeling, and engineering drawings.
• GD&T proficiency.
• Proficiency with Siemens NX (3D Modeling) and Teamcenter experience.
• Tooling design experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience collaborating with manufacturing and design/engineering teams.
• Design review experience.
• Hands-on fabrication and assembly experience.
• Structural analysis experience, including hand calculations, FEA, and Simcenter 3D.
• Project management experience, including scheduling and budgeting.
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Address a backlog of tooling design, fabrication, and production-support activities.
• Work with mechanical, manufacturing, and design teams to expedite tooling projects.
• Participate in design reviews and tooling validation activities.
• Support scheduling and budgeting for tooling programs.

Role Overview

The contractor will work closely with mechanical, manufacturing, and design engineering teams to address a backlog of tooling design, fabrication, and production-support activities.

MUST HAVES

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5–10 years of Mechanical Engineering experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Redmond, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $68.00/hr.
