Job summary

A leading manufacturer is seeking a CAD Designer to join their team in Mishawaka, Indiana. The CAD Designer will create and update CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks while working collaboratively on multiple projects. Ideal candidates will possess a high school diploma with relevant experience and demonstrate strong organization and attention to detail. CAD Designer

Our CAD Designers are capable of working within a dynamic group to meet project goals and timelines. A successful candidate must be well organized, detail oriented, and have the flexibility to handle multiple project assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Create/Update part and assembly CAD data using SolidWorks
• Create/Update part and assembly drawings to identify critical characteristics
• Work with manufacturing engineering to ensure parts are manufacturable
• Make drawings for sourcing to source from
• Make CAD model renderings for marketing to utilize
• Create CAD models from renderings
• Process change actions utilizing Enovia
• Designs and drawings must be free from errors
• Ensure changes are implement according to customer needs
• Must be able to review customer prints and identify changes.
• Determine if any new parts are required to meet customer expectations.
• Work with customers to manage part proliferation
• Document and process all changes using Lippert change management processes.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma and/or related associates degree in engineering or specific discipline and two years' experience; or
• Four years related experience and/or training specialized in drafting, design, and engineering practices; or
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Manufacturing/industry experience
• Experience working with multiple discipline projects
• Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office, MasterCam, Top Solid, Lectra 2/3D, and Solidworks

Travel:

No travel is expected for this position.
