Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Design Technician 1 to modify and create AutoCAD and Microstation drawings from engineer markups and hand drawings. The role involves reviewing models, producing plan views, sections, and part details, and distributing drawings to support field requirements.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of drafting experience, NEC knowledge, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BlueBeam, and MS Office. A high school diploma or GED is required, with an AAS preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 3+ years of experience.
• AAS degree preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC and field installation best practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BlueBeam and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Review of the coordinated model
• Creating, managing plan views, sections, and part details
• Creating, annotating, and dimensioning drawings
• Participation in the design coordination process and resolving coordination conflicts
• Participating in the design review and quality control processes
• Distributing drawings to support field requirement
