Job summary
Kloeckner Metals Corporation is seeking a CAD Programmer to convert customer-generated geometry into the appropriate file format using CAD software. This role also involves programming CNC equipment and improving efficiency through detailed analysis of tooling and applications.
The ideal candidate has over 2 years of CAD programming experience in an industrial environment and holds a relevant technical degree.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of practical CAD programming experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks.
- Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
Responsibilities
- Operate CAD software and CNC manufacturer's programming software.
- Interpret customer drawings/specifications to create engineering drawings.
- Facilitate communication between customers, sales, and production teams.
- Import CAD files into nesting software to generate NC files for CNC equipment.
- Optimize material utilization and production efficiency by nesting parts.
- Program CNC equipment and document revisions as required.
- Assist with tooling and fixtures design.
- Provide input on efficiency improvements.
