Job summary
Kloeckner Metals - Americas is seeking a CAD Programmer in the Chicago area to convert customer drawings into NC files using CAD and nesting software for CNC equipment. You will support production with accurate programming, documentation, and tooling design, reporting to the Operations Manager.

Qualifications
- 2+ years CAD programming in an industrial setting.
- Two-year technical degree in CAD/Programming or equivalent.
- Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in all tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate CAD and CNC software to create and manage NC files.
- Interpret drawings and GD&T to generate engineering drawings.
- Coordinate with customers, sales, and production teams.
- Import CAD files into nesting software to generate NC files for CNC equipment.
- Nest parts on sheets to optimize material utilization.
- Program CNC equipment and document revisions.
- Assist with tooling and fixtures design.
- Maintain program files and setup sheets.
- Identify and implement efficiency improvements.
