Job summary

Woolpert is seeking a CAD Engineering Technician to join our Site Civil Team in Charlotte, NC. You will design site layout plans and use AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop grading and site designs, while collaborating with project management to resolve obstacles and ensure client requirements are met.

Requires an associates degree or technical certification, Civil 3D experience, and a valid driver’s license, with strong interest in hydrology and stormwater management.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or technical certification required.
• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Interest in hydrology and stormwater management.
• Ability to read, interpret construction drawings and reports.

Responsibilities

• Design and create site layout plans per client requirements and Woolpert standards.
• Develop concept and grading plans using Civil 3D.
• Work with project teams to identify impediments and implement solutions.
• Perform site due diligence assessments and compile data/reports.
• Perform roadway pavement evaluations and compile reports.
• Possibly conduct field work and travel as needed.
