Job summary

Woolpert in Columbus, OH is seeking a CAD Engineering Technician to join the Site Civil Team. This role focuses on designing and creating site layout plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, developing concept and grading plans, and supporting project management.

Applicants should have an Associate degree or technical certification (or four years related experience), experience with Civil 3D, a valid driver's license, and strong interest in hydrology and stormwater management.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification or four years related experience.
• Experience in Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Strong interest and working knowledge in hydrology and stormwater management.
• Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize workflow, and complete tasks.
• Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design and create site layout plans aligned with client requirements and Woolpert standards.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designs.
• Work with project management teams to identify impediments and develop/implement solutions to overcome obstacles.
• Perform site due diligence assessments and compile data and reports.
• Perform roadway pavement evaluations and compile reports.
• Perform occasional field work, local travel, and overnight travel as needed.
