Job summary

Mastercam is seeking an Applications Engineer in the Detroit metro area to bridge technology and customer success. You will provide expert CAD/CAM guidance, training, and support to customers, channel partners, and internal teams, helping maximize Mastercam value while delivering innovative solutions.

You will collaborate with product and sales teams, conduct demos and PoCs, and assist with post-sale implementation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
3–5 years of CAD/CAM programming, manufacturing, or applications engineering.
Hands-on experience with Mastercam or similar CAD/CAM software required.
Knowledge of CNC programming, machining processes, and tooling desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide expert-level support to customers and channel partners troubleshooting Mastercam issues.
Analyze customer workflows and recommend tailored solutions to improve efficiency.
Serve as a technical resource for escalated inquiries with timely resolutions.
Collaborate with product management to provide customer feedback for enhancements.
Test and validate new features, ensuring real-world usability.
Assist sales with pre-sales activities including demos and PoCs.
Support post-sale implementation and adoption of Mastercam solutions.
Develop custom toolpaths, templates, and macros to meet customer needs.
Create knowledge base articles and technical documentation.
Deliver hands-on training sessions, in-person or online.
