Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Michigan is seeking a CAD/BIM Designer to own layout drawings, equipment lists, and design outputs in line with our CAD/BIM standards. You will work with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate integration of fixtures and equipment within project designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in design or drafting.
• 2–5 years of CAD/BIM experience, including Revit.
• Proficient CAD/BIM drafting/modeling skills.
• Working knowledge of CAD drawing file structures, standards, cell/family placement, and project modeling.
• Good analytical skills and ability to work in a schedule-driven environment.
• Understanding of applicable building codes.

Responsibilities

• Own the production of layout drawings, equipment lists, prototype layouts, and design outputs per Meijer CAD/BIM standards.
• Identify, document, and communicate design conflicts to Layout Designers for refinement.
• Maintain and apply CAD/BIM standards, templates, and file organization across projects.
• Prepare layout drawings and equipment lists to support design development.
• Coordinate with Procurement, fixture librarian, and A/E partners to ensure integration of fixture, equipment, and design requirements.
• Conduct technical reviews of drawings for accuracy and adherence to Meijer CAD/BIM standards.
• Adhere to a schedule-driven workload and meet deadlines.
