Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a CAD/BIM designer to transform concepts into working layout documents. You will produce layout drawings, equipment lists, and design outputs, while maintaining Meijer CAD/BIM standards across projects.

You will coordinate with Procurement, fixture librarians, and A/E partners to ensure correct integration of fixtures and design requirements. A 2–5 year CAD/BIM background and Revit proficiency are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent design and drafting experience.
• 2-5 years CAD/BIM experience including Revit.
• Proficient CAD/BIM drafting/modeling skills.
• Understanding of CAD file structures and project modeling.
• Knowledge of building codes and design standards.

Responsibilities

• Own production of layout drawings, equipment lists, prototypes, and design outputs.
• Identify and communicate design conflicts to Layout Designers and refine solutions.
• Maintain CAD/BIM standards, templates, and file organization.
• Prepare layout drawings and equipment lists to support development.
• Coordinate with Procurement, fixture librarian, and A/E partners for integration.
• Conduct technical reviews of drawings for accuracy to standards.
• Adhere to a schedule-driven workload and meet deadlines.

Transforms initial conceptual designs using CAD into working layout documents.
