Job summary

J.Jill is seeking a CAD Design Assistant to support print development, colorways, and CAD board creation. You will collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, Merchants, and the Color Team to produce artwork and presentation materials.

Ideal candidates have CAD experience, fabric/color knowledge, and strong organizational skills. This role involves processing color orders and maintaining CAD supplies in a fast-paced apparel environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CAD Design is required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in CAD design preferred.
• Knowledge of fabric and color used in apparel design.
• Hands-on CAD workflow, prints and colorways.
• Strong balance of technical and creative strengths; highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Supports Print Development Process: cleans and colors separate artwork; develops print repeats and colorways; communicates print information to vendors.
• Compiles Presentation CAD Boards: creates seasonal CAD boards; updates boards with pricing, descriptions, fabrics; executes revisions to sketches and colors.
• Works with CAD team to prepare seasonal presentation materials (CAD Boards, Mood Images, Color Palettes & Presentation Packets) and to build color palettes.
• Enters artwork, textures, stitches and weaves into silhouettes; matches color output to CAD printer; maintains digital palettes in Kaledo, Photoshop, Illustrator & PLM.
• Assists in placing seasonal color orders with standard suppliers; maintains CAD supplies; creates purchase orders and processes invoices.
