Job summary

J.Jill is seeking a CAD Design professional in Quincy, MA to support print development, colorways, and seasonal CAD boards. You will work closely with Designers, Product Managers and the CAD Team to translate concepts into production-ready artwork.

Responsibilities include developing prints, colorways, and presentations, updating CAD boards with data from cross-functional teams, and ensuring accurate color matching using Kaledo, Photoshop and Illustrator.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in CAD Design.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience preferred, preferably in CAD design.
  • Knowledge of fabric and color used in apparel design.
  • Hand painting & Illustration skills a plus.
  • Must have a strong balance of technical and creative strengths.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Extremely organized.

Responsibilities

  • Supports print development process: cleans and color separates artwork.
  • Develops print repeats and colorways.
  • Communicates print information to vendors and coordinates artwork tweaks.
  • Manipulates and creates prints to fit the J Jill aesthetic.
  • Compile presentation CAD boards for design reviews.
  • Creates seasonal CAD boards and updates with pricing, description and fabric information.
  • Executes revisions to sketches and colors.
  • Inputs artwork, textures, stitches, and weaves into silhouettes.
  • Works with CAD team to prepare seasonal presentation materials.
  • Builds and matches color palettes, naming palettes; matches printer output.
  • Maintains digital palettes in Kaledo, Photoshop, Illustrator & PLM.
  • Enters color information into PLM for vendor distribution.
  • Assists in placing seasonal color orders; maintains CAD supplies.
  • Creates purchase orders and submits invoices.
