Job summary

Thames Valley Council for Community Action (TVCCA) in Norwich, CT is seeking a Nutrition Manager to implement and ensure CACFP compliance across child development sites. You will supervise center site servers, monitor centers for health and sanitation compliance, and file CACFP reimbursement claims in coordination with the CT Department of Education.

You will act as liaison between centers, the TVCCA Commissary, and the State Department of Education, ensuring adherence to Head Start and NAEYC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with two years related work experience, some supervisory experience
• Or an Associate’s Degree with four years of related experience
• ServSafe certification required or to be obtained
• Strong communication and computer skills required
• Experience in administrative details, food service and CACFP knowledge a plus; current physical within 1 year before hire

Responsibilities

• Implement and ensure compliance with CACFP, TVCCA policies/procedures
• File CACFP reimbursement claims
• Hire/train/supervise/evaluate center site servers
• Monitor centers for health department food safety and sanitation compliance
• Ensure filing of CACFP reimbursement claims with CT SDE
• Supervise food production at childcare centers
• Act as liaison between centers, Commissary, and State Department of Education
• Provide cover in kitchens as needed
