The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least six months of related experience or training, plus the ability to read instructions, use hand tools, and work safely in a production environment. Overtime and schedule flexibility are available.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED and six months of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Essential Skills: Mechanical aptitude with ability to operate a machine in production. Use tools and measuring devices properly.
• Reading and following basic instructions; understand quality procedures; math and handwriting skills.
• Team environment with minimal supervision; detail-oriented; able to complete documentation.
• Ability to operate forklift and hoist.

Responsibilities

• Reads the set-up sheet and uses product code to determine product, machine adjustments, and material requirements.
• Sets up, runs, and monitors the Planetary Strander for standard and nonstandard products.
• Sets up and runs a respooling machine in the cabling area to respool sub cables, fillers, and wire.
• Observes and inspects products to ensure conformance to set-up specifications.
• Completes all documentation specific to this job function.
• Cleans equipment to prevent contamination.
• Identifies defects and helps resolve problems or notifies supervisor.
• Runs rework line when workload allows, including washing cables with E Cleaner or MEK, printing, stripping, respooling, and stripping armor/FRP cables.
