Job summary

Prysmian Group in Taunton, MA is seeking a manufacturing associate to cut, inspect, and package cables per order specifications, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will assist with loading, spare parts handling, and participate in 6S and continuous improvement activities. A High School diploma and basic English required; OJT and SAP training offered; competitive hourly pay with shift premiums and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English.
• Some manufacturing experience or mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Must be able to operate pneumatic tools and learn SAP system basics.

Responsibilities

• Remove material from stock and cut cables to length per orders.
• Visually inspect cables for damages and notify supervisor of issues.
• Assist in packaging and lagging reels for shipping.
• Help load trucks as needed and act as spotter during loading.
• Perform routine maintenance and participate in 6S and continuous improvement.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and comply with ISO14001 EMS guidelines.
• Work overtime as required and follow supervisor instructions.
