Job summary

Prysmian Group is hiring at its Taunton, MA manufacturing plant to fill a quality/control-oriented role. The position focuses on reducing scrap, ensuring process controls, and maintaining measurement equipment with a strong emphasis on accurate inspection and quality resolution.

The role requires strong communication, multi-tasking, and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and SAP. High school diploma and prior manufacturing exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exemplary multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Record of being a motivated self-starter.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages in facility problem solving activities to reduce scrap, material reduction, increase capability, and productivity.
• Addresses daily quality concerns and questions; offers recommendations as required.
• Troubleshoots manufacturing problems and quality issues; works with operations and quality personnel to investigate, collect, and analyze data to resolve and implement corrective action where applicable.
• Works closely with operation teams to ensure process controls are in place and adequate to meet standard requirements.
• Responsible for accuracy and timely inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring devices.
• Ensures that any non-conforming product is properly identified, quarantined and communicated.
• Examines material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and incomplete welds.
• Verifies specified dimensions of product or material.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Position Description

• Must be able to lift product, materials, and equipment as necessary.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to read and write the English language.
• High school diploma/GED.
• Some manufacturing experience preferred.

Hiring range: $25.04 to $29.90 per hour.

Shift: 1st, 2nd & 3rd.
