Job summary

Ericson Manufacturing in Willoughby, OH is seeking a Cable Cutter to support warehouse operations. You will run the cable cutting machine, measure and bundle cables for customer orders, and ensure accuracy and safety in every cut.

This role uses a four 10-hour shift (4:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday-Thursday) with overtime opportunities based on demand. A high school diploma and ability to read blueprints are required, with a focus on reliability and teamwork.

The job: The Cable Cutter supports the operation functions of cable cutting in the warehouse. Runs the cable cutting machine and maximizes cuts per reel. Cut, measure, and bundle cable for customer orders, while following safety and quality standards. Performs production assembly operations to produce components

Available Shift:4:00 AM - 2:30 PM (M-TH)

Overtime:This position operates on a four 10-hour work schedule. While the regular schedule is Monday through Thursday, employees should expect overtime opportunities, including most Fridays, based on customer demand and production needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Using cable cutting machines, material handling equipment, and wire reeling machinery to cut, strip, and terminate cables.
• Ensuring that cuts are accurate, and that cable meets specifications
• Unloading and loading materials using a tow motor/reach truck
• Identifies specific cable based on reel labels.
• Maintain/utilize partial reels to fill customer orders.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area for a safe work environment.
• Maintains assigned inventory stock locations making sure material put away in the correct location and the shelves are kept neat and orderly.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and organizing materials
• Supports the operations functions of the warehouse.
• Informs proper departments of "stock outs", inventory discrepancies and other inventory problems or concerns.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Certifications:

• High School diploma, or equivalent
• Needs to be able to work with limited supervision
• Must be able to read and understand mechanical blueprints, production/assembly instructions, parts lists, verbal instruction and notes
• Ability to apply previous experience to perform detailed written or oral instructions.
• Must have the ability to resolve minor problems as they arise
