Job summary

Project Resources Group (PRG) is seeking a detailed Cable & Telecom Damage Specialist in the Cedar Rapids, IA area. You will collect, analyze, and review evidence related to third-party utility damages to determine liability, working independently to deliver precise results.

This hands-on role involves on-site assessments, interviews, and thorough documentation of damaged scenes, with opportunities to collaborate with clients and contractors and to grow within PRG's claims process.

Qualifications

• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills (clear, concise)
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Valid driver's license with reliable personal vehicle and appropriate auto insurance

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site assessments of underground and aerial cable plant damages
• Interview contractors, technicians, witnesses, police, homeowners at damage sites
• Photograph and document damaged scenes to accurately portray liability
• Collaborate with client locate company and exchange damage information
• Analyze and review evidence to determine liable party
• Learn state Dig Laws, excavator requirements, and NESC standards
• Build professional relationships with clients, contractors, and management
• Document job repair costs and email material to local office
• Assist Claims Recovery with follow-up actions
• Develop monthly market reporting and lead client meetings
