Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in commercial voice and data systems.

Position Summary:

Anistar is seeking an experienced Structured Cable Technician to assist with the installation, termination, and testing of various voice and data cables, as well as security/access control equipment. The candidate must be comfortable working from a lift.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Pulling and routing CAT5 or CAT6 cables in new construction and existing commercial structures.
2. Pulling fiber optic cables.
3. Testing fiber optic cables with Fluke/Viavi testers.
4. Installing support structures such as ladder racks, D-rings, and J-hooks.
5. Working from scissor/boom lifts.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

1. At least 2 years of experience installing and servicing voice and data systems in a commercial environment.
2. Ownership of basic telecom tools: punch down, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, hard hat, boots, safety glasses, etc.
3. Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA, or NEC standards.
