Job summary

TEKsystems in Lithia Springs, GA is seeking a contract-to-hire Data Center Technician to perform diagnostics and repairs on servers, storage, and networking gear. You will install, rack, stack, cable, and decommission data center equipment while supporting migrations and infrastructure expansion. Strong cable and Cat6 knowledge is required.

This onsite role pays $21.00–$25.00/hr and includes benefits eligibility. Local candidates in Lithia Springs, GA preferred. The position closes Sep 11, 2026.

Qualifications

• Must possess and be proficient with the listed tools.
• Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
• Must know the universal communications color codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of servers, storage systems, and network equipment.
• Install, rack, stack, cable, and decommission data center equipment.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist with network infrastructure maintenance.
• Execute break/fix activities on hardware components including servers, switches, routers, power supplies, and cabling.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and health checks on data center equipment.
• Follow and update technical documentation, procedures, and asset tracking records.
• Support data center migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure expansion projects.
• Escalate complex technical issues when necessary and collaborate with engineering and operations teams.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
