Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an entry-level technician to support data center cabling and installation in Colorado City, CO. The role covers indoor/outdoor work, Cat6/Cat5 cabling, racks, patch panels, grounding, and related hardware.

You will read blueprints, interpret project documents, and use standard cabling tools in a fast-paced environment. This contract-to-hire position is fully onsite with a Monday–Friday 6am–5pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient with listed tools and read blueprints.
• Ability to interpret project documents, specs and quality requirements.
• Know universal color codes used in cabling work.

Responsibilities

• Work inside and outside building data centers.
• Install and terminate Cat6/Cat5 cabling and racks.
• Mount backboards, cross connects, patch panels, fiber hardware.
• Pull wires and oversee conduit installations.

Network equipment experience

Cat6 termination

Fiber knowledge

Layout and install wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches receptacles and other devices

Will build closets (Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware)

Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required

Complete all IDC connections (e.g. terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels)

Looking for individuals that can work inside and outside building out the data centers

Looking for hard working individuals

Shift is Monday- Friday 6am-5pm

Pulls wire and/or oversees and directs conduit installations and wire pulling

Operates tools/equipment, normally requiring the use of two hands (examples: cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
