Job summary

TEKsystems in Corbin, KY is seeking a Cable Technician (entry-level to experienced) to install, test, and maintain CAT5e/CAT6 cabling on commercial and industrial sites. This onsite role offers a 4x10 schedule and opportunities to learn from senior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Test and certify cabling installations.

• Assist with low-voltage installations, including data and security infrastructure.
• Maintain organized work areas and ensure quality workmanship.
• Follow all safety and site-specific requirements.
• Work independently or alongside senior technicians on commercial and industrial job sites.

Location: Field-Based

Schedule: Saturday - Tuesday | 4 x 10-Hour Shifts

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cable Technician to join a growing team supporting commercial and industrial projects. This is a great opportunity for someone with cabling, low-voltage, or construction experience who is looking to build a long-term career in the structured cabling industry.

The ideal candidate will assist with the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network cabling, fiber optic systems, and other low-voltage infrastructure while working alongside experienced technicians.

Open to entry-level candidates with construction experience and a willingness to learn.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
