MaxxSouth Broadband is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our cable systems operating at peak performance. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain subscriber drops through trunk lines, ensuring signal quality and reliable service for customers.

This hands-on role requires electronics familiarity, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and comfort with Windows OS. Join a locally rooted team delivering fast fiber speeds and 24/7 local care.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of cable technical experience required.
• Formal electronics training or certifications (NCTI, SCTE) preferred.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with residential Cable TV, Internet, and Phone services.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot and repair cable television services.
• Diagnose and fix feeder cables using meters such as Volt Ohm Meters, signal level meters, TDRs and return system test equipment.
• Identify and repair fiber and node issues using OTDRs and power meters.
• Interface with customers professionally to explain services and resolve issues.
• Install and service Digital TV, HD, and HSD cable modems.
• Detect and repair signal leakage and decimation.
• Perform cable splicing and understand RF design/system prints.
• Complete daily service and installation tasks, including documentation.
• Safely operate equipment such as extension ladders and bucket trucks.
