Job summary

HUBER is seeking a Cable Operator Inspector in Warren Township, NJ. You will set up and operate cable manufacturing equipment, perform in-process quality inspections, read drawings, and document results to ensure products meet specifications.

The role requires 3+ years in cable manufacturing, reading engineering drawings, and using precision measuring tools. You will support audits, collaborate with the Cable Engineer on testing, and help maintain 5S standards and production schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in cable manufacturing or related process.
• Experience in in-process inspection and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Experience with extrusion, tape wrapping, braiding or similar processes.
• Experience with electrical testing or inspection of wire and cable products preferred.
• Audit readiness and documentation accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate cable manufacturing equipment per specs.
• Monitor process conditions to prevent quality issues.
• Adjust equipment settings to maintain production quality.
• Perform in-process inspections and document results.
• Notify Cable Engineer when out of spec and collaborate on testing.
• Provide samples for testing and support audits.
• Communicate findings to supervisor and operators.
