Job summary
Leidos Defense Systems in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Cable Manufacturing Engineer to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for complex electronic assemblies. You will work with design and manufacturing engineers to create robust work instructions and support NPI to enable smooth production ramp.

Qualifications
- BS or MS in engineering with relevant experience in manufacturing.
- Experience with manufacturing processes and documentation.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
Responsibilities
- Develop and ensure manufacturing processes/work instructions are simple, clear, robust, error-proofed, and repeatable.
- Prepare process flows and assembly work instructions for assembly technicians using an MES system (i.e. Solumina)
- Support the implementation of change orders and deviations.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities in support of developing procedures/work instructions that will lead to follow-on production
- Candidate will also work closely with our quality team to develop processes that validate customer quality requirements.
- Candidate will work closely with production control to meet desired delivery schedule of design team.
- Candidate will assist with the installation and commissioning of automation equipment, supporting the development and optimization of facility layout configurations.
