Responsibilities

• Pulls cables (coaxial, twin ax, twisted pair, optical fiber) through conduit and between floors.
• Installs modular connectors for data and telephone users.
• Terminates cables on cross connects, hubs, and routers.
• Uses cable testing equipment to troubleshoot problems and tests system performance.
• Provides new users with cable and modular connections and relocates connections for existing users.
• Reads manuals to determine equipment meeting establishment requirements.
