Qualifications

Cable Installation Technician – Brown Communications LLC, Phoenix, AZ

Brown Communications LLC is seeking a skilled Cable Installation Technician to perform low‑voltage cable installation and termination on commercial projects.

Responsibilities
  • Install and terminate data cabling on commercial projects, including CAT5E, CAT6, security cameras, speakers, TVs, AV control and access control equipment.
  • Perform installations with a high level of workmanship and attention to detail.
  • Pull, terminate and test various low voltage cable types such as cable, coaxial and other cabling.
  • Dress and organize equipment racks.
  • Install cameras, televisions and audio/video equipment.
Requirements
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
  • Must have a good work ethic and punctuality.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.
  • Must have a high quality of work.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle (truck or van preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience reading blueprints or site plans.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Prior knowledge of EIA‑TIA standards and low voltage cabling.
  • Experience with circuit extensions & riser cabling is a plus.
  • Availability to work overtime if required.
  • Computer skills: internet access, printer, scanner, Excel, Word, PDF.
Desired Experience
  • Pulling & terminating cable (Cat5e, Cat6, coaxial, and other low voltage cable types).
  • Dressing and organization of equipment racks.
  • Installing cameras, televisions, and audio/video equipment.
Additional Qualifications
  • 1-20 years of experience in low‑voltage cable installation.
  • Knowledge of circuit extensions & riser cabling is a plus.
  • Must have reliable vehicle; truck or van preferred.
  • Must have hand tools.
  • Must be able to read blueprints.
  • Must have customer service skills.
  • Must be willing to work overtime.
  • Must be presentable, reliable, and accountable.
