Prince Telecom is hiring entry-level Cable Installation Technicians in South Holland, IL, and Chicago, IL, to join our team and help connect America!

Compensation: $17/hr+

Job Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Resolve, repair, and install cable TV, internet, telephone, and/or alarm equipment according to guidelines.
• Set up and configure residential networking equipment such as ONTs, routers, and switches.
• Analyze and record test results within prescribed parameters by testing company-issued and customer devices.
• Interface with customers to identify and resolve perceived issues.
• Drive a company vehicle safely between various work sites.
• Maintain a clean and stocked vehicle with necessary equipment.
• Complete accurate paperwork and update work order statuses.

Customer Service Duties

• Greet and interact professionally with customers, including responding to escalations and concerns.
• Review requested services with customers to ensure understanding and agreement.
• Educate customers on product and service usage.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Valid driver's license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience
• Authorized to work in the US
• High school diploma or GED
• Experience or comfort working in tight spaces like crawl spaces or attics
• Ability to work in inclement weather
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to travel and work extended hours, including weekends and overtime
• Ability to lift, climb, and carry ladders weighing up to 80 lbs
