Job summary

Source Engineering & Manufacturing in Plymouth, MN is seeking a Cable and Wire Harness Production Lead. The role is 50/50 hands-on building and leading a floor team of 10–12, with staffing, training, process improvement, and workmanship standards under your supervision.

You will own the weekly workload plan, coordinate personnel, conduct performance reviews and wage conversations, and enforce IPC/WHMA-A-620 across the cell.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on cable and harness assembly background.
• Experience with IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standards.
• Experience leading, training, or mentoring assemblers.
• Able to plan staffing against a live production schedule.
• Comfort discussing performance and pay with staff.
• Ability to read complex drawings, wire lists, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Own the weekly workload plan and staffing.
• Coordinate people, training, and job movement across the cell.
• Conduct performance reviews and wage conversations.
• Maintain IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship standard across the cell.
• Lead 5S, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma efforts.
• Own safety processes and keep a safe, ESD-compliant work area.
• Split time between hands-on building and floor leadership.
• Clear bottlenecks and protect the schedule.
