Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensures 24/7/365 support to the University copper cable plant.
• Provides mentoring to level 1 technicians and student interns.
• Distinguishes copper jacket color differences.
• Lifts up to 80 pounds.
• Maintains a valid Utah driver license.
• Develops job material lists based on job scope.
• Enters time and materials into tracking tools.
• Monitors and updates work order queues.
• Provides hands-on help to university and contractor cable technicians.
• Keeps communication closets and work environments tidy.
• Keeps equipment and vehicles in safe working condition.
• Uses test equipment to provide test results and reports.
