Lumen Technologies, Inc. is hiring a Field Technician II for the Public Sector in Salt Lake City, Utah. The technician will handle installation, decommissioning, and troubleshooting of network equipment across fiber, transport, and critical infrastructure.

Expect work on Next Generation technologies and customer premises equipment (CPE) delivery. The role requires hands-on experience with DS1/DS3/SONET, and a strong background in outdoor plant, asset management, and field testing.

Qualificações

• Experience with installation, testing and turn-up of telecom networks.
• Ability to troubleshoot core network equipment and support staff.
• Familiarity with fiber optics, OTDR, and field test gear.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoots network equipment, replaces defective components, and coordinates recovery.
• Performs installation, testing and turn-up of NG technologies and CPE delivery.
• Maintains asset inventory and ensures on-site materials are available.
• Performs preventive maintenance on network infrastructure and supports safety standards.
• Updates system records and reports status to management.
