Job summary

Aptiv is seeking a Process Engineer in Dayville, CT to support cabling and extrusion processes across multiple materials and gauges. You will work on twisting, bunching, and planetary cabling equipment and extrusion lines, driving improvements with measurable ROI.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, Lean manufacturing leadership, and development of process validations, SOPs, and operator training. A BS in engineering and 5+ years in manufacturing are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 3.0+ GPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive engineering experience in manufacturing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of bulk cable and cable assembly design, materials, components, processes, testing, and regulatory approvals.
  • Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or PE certifications preferred.
  • Proficiency with Google Enterprise, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, ADP, Visual ERP, and Access.

Responsibilities

  • Extrusion and cabling optimization to improve utilization and efficiency with validated ROI.
  • Quality and waste reduction efforts to enhance product quality and reduce material losses.
  • Production improvement to deliver cost savings, safety improvements, and support new product introductions.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, or Material Science) with 3.0+ GPA
