Job summary

Accelera in Taunton, MA is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer focused on cabling systems. You will drive operational excellence by optimizing production workflows for copper and fiber optic cabling, leveraging mechanical engineering expertise to enhance efficiency and product quality.

You will lead process design, tool and die maintenance, RCA and 5 Why analyses, and develop detailed manufacturing instructions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 3+ years of professional manufacturing or process engineering experience.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and statistical analysis tools like Minitab.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to perform detailed Root Cause Analysis.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to maximize output and quality.
• Engineer and maintain precision tooling and dies to support specialized production requirements.
• Execute Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and 5 Why methodologies to resolve bottlenecks and non-conformances.
• Manage experimental production runs and technical order execution to validate new designs.
• Develop technical manufacturing instructions and SOPs for production teams.
• Oversee capital projects from conception to completion to modernize facility capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to integrate new materials and process technologies.
• Provide technical mentorship and training to manufacturing personnel to ensure standardized performance.
