Job summary

LS Cable & System USA in Tarboro, NC seeks an attentive operator for a Catenary Continuous Vulcanization line to insulate MV power cables using varied plastic and rubber compounds. You will monitor process variables, enter recipes, and ensure adherence to specifications.

The role requires lifting 150+ pounds, operating a forklift, and performing quality checks to UL, AEIC, ICEA standards while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a heavy industrial environment.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must qualify as lift operator.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate CCV line with payoffs, accumulators, extruders, cure tube sections, seals and take ups.
• Enter recipe information to ensure proper temperatures, pressures, extruder output, and curing profiles.
• Perform quality checks to meet UL, AEIC, ICEA, and customer specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and housekeeping.
• Move materials using forklift and support other duties as directed.
