Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Assembler/Solderer for a Contract to Hire position in Pottstown, PA. The role involves manufacturing duties including soldering, cable assembly, inspection, and adherence to customer specifications to ensure high quality products.

You will read orders and drawings, perform thru-hole soldering and cable assembly, and conduct in-process inspections using precision tools. Onsite work with standard shift hours and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Experience with thru-hole soldering and soldering assembly work.
• Ability to perform cable assembly and connector operations with consistent quality.
• Proficient with hand tools and measurement devices (micrometers, calipers).

Responsibilities

• Build products to standard production rates while maintaining accuracy, quality, and consistency.
• Read and interpret job orders, drawings, and product specifications to determine materials, tools, and assembly steps required.
• Perform thru-hole soldering, to assemble components and cables.
• Carry out simple cable assembly and connector operations to build high-quality point-to-point cables.
• Build simple point-to-point cables.
• Complete in-process inspections
• Demonstrate proper use of basic hand tools, including soldering guns, wrenches, hand strippers, trimmers, wire cutters, chop saws, rulers, and microscopes or magnifiers.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting of cables to confirm they function correctly and that frequency and performance meet required specifications.
• Use measurement tools such as rulers, tape measures, micrometers, and calipers to verify dimensions and tolerances.
