Job summary

LifePort, located in Woodland, WA, seeks a skilled Fabricator to set up and operate woodworking machines, trim joints, bore holes, and assemble aircraft interior components and high-grade furniture. You will read computer drawings, glue and clamp subassemblies, and install hardware while maintaining safety standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, dependability, and attention to detail, with expectations to contribute to a positive shop environment and meet production goals.

Qualifications

• GED or higher with 1 year related experience or training.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure; compute rates and ratios.
• Proficient with Outlook, ERP Manufacturing software and time and attendance payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate woodworking machines to fabricate aircraft interior components and furniture.
• Trim joints to ensure snug fit and bore holes for inserts, pins and screws.
• Glue, fit, clamp parts, and drive fasteners to reinforce joints.
• Install hardware such as hinges, catches, and drawer pulls.
• Work from computer drawings and adhere to safety policies.

Job description

Located in Woodland, WA, LifePort is the leading manufacturer of medical transportation and interior products as well as ballistic armor protection systems for fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Position Overview:

Sets up and operates variety of woodworking machines and uses various hand tools to fabricate and repair aircraft interior components and high grade furniture by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions:

• Work off computer drawings for articles to be fabricated
• Sets up and operates woodworking machines such as power saws, jointer to cut as required
• Trims component parts of joints to ensure snug fit
• Bores holes for inserts, pins and screws
• Glues, fits, and clamps parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit
• Drives fasteners into joints at designated places to reinforce joints
• Installs hardware such as hinges, catches, and drawer pulls
• Other duties may be assigned

Preferred Education, Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Proficient with Outlook, ERP Manufacturing software and time and attendance payroll systems

Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment.
