Job summary

Employers Overload is seeking a Cabinet Assembler I in Newberg, OR. The role involves assembling cabinets with basic hand tools, inspecting components for defects, and maintaining a safe, clean workspace.

You would work Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–2:30 PM, with overtime possible and a pay rate of $21.00/hour, depending on experience. Temp-to-Hire with potential permanent placement is offered.

Job description

The Cabinet Assembler I supports cabinet production by performing routine assembly operations with a focus on accuracy, quality, safety, and productivity. This position uses basic hand tools to inspect, position, align, and assemble components while following established work instructions and production standards.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Perform cabinet assembly tasks safely using proper lifting techniques and established work procedures.

  • Inspect parts and components for defects before and during assembly.

  • Position and align parts in fixtures or holding devices using basic hand tools such as screwdrivers and pliers.

  • Properly use, care for, and maintain assigned tools and equipment, including minor preventive maintenance.

  • Meet established production and quality expectations for assigned assembly tasks.

  • Complete production documentation accurately and participate in inventory counts as needed.

  • Monitor materials and maintain appropriate stock levels within the assigned work area.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.

  • Work independently and as part of a production team and perform additional duties as assigned.


Educational and Skill Requirements:


  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and learn established assembly processes.

  • Strong attention to detail, dependability, and commitment to quality workmanship.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools.

  • Cabinet, woodworking, manufacturing, or assembly experience is preferred.

  • Ability to maintain a professional and positive demeanor while meeting production expectations.


Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to stand for extended periods, approximately 65–100% of the shift.

  • Frequent lifting/handling of 1–5 lbs. and repetitive use of arms, wrists, and hands.

  • Occasional walking, reaching, and carrying.

  • Ability to push/pull approximately 1–10 lbs. over short distances.

  • Good vision and hearing, with manual dexterity required for light mechanical work.

  • Scales and computers

  • Hand presses and drill presses

  • Required PPE, including safety glasses


Work Schedule and Pay:


  • Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–2:30 PM

  • Occasional overtime may be required.

  • Pay Rate: $21.00/hour, depending on experience

  • Location: Newberg, OR

  • Temp-to-Hire with the opportunity for permanent placement.
