Job summary

CitiStaff Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney to represent employer and carrier interests in California WCAB matters.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of California workers’ compensation defense experience and can independently manage a caseload of indemnity and litigated claims. The attorney will handle litigation strategy, case evaluation, settlements, and WCAB appearances, while advising clients and claims professionals on exposure and

Qualifications

• Requires active CA State Bar membership.
• Minimum 2 years of California workers’ compensation defense experience.
• Strong litigation, negotiation, and writing skills.
• Familiarity with WCAB procedures and California Labor Code.

Responsibilities

• Represent employer and carrier interests before the WCAB in California.
• Manage MSCs, trials, expedited hearings, and other WCAB proceedings.
• Independently manage a high-volume litigated caseload from evaluation to resolution.
• Develop litigation strategies with claims administrators, adjusters, and clients.
• Draft pleadings, petitions, discovery, and WCAB-related documents.
• Analyze medical-legal reports (QME/AME) and coordinate with MSA vendors when needed.
• Conduct depositions and cross-examining witnesses.
• Evaluate liability, disability, and claim exposure; negotiate settlements and C&R agreements.
