Job summary

iLocatum is seeking a Civil Structural Engineer in Martinez, CA, with a valid CA PE license. This on-site, full-time role focuses on cold-formed steel design for commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects.

You will lead design, perform calculations, coordinate with architects and contractors, stamp documents as Engineer of Record, and mentor junior staff while staying current with CBC, AISI, and ASCE standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
5+ years of structural engineering experience focusing on light gauge steel systems.
Proficiency in design software: RISA, CFS, ETABS, STAAD, AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000.
Strong knowledge of cold-formed steel design, lateral systems, and seismic considerations.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Design, analyze, and detail cold-formed steel structures per CBC, AISI, and ASCE.
Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and specifications for submittals.
Stamp and sign structural documents as Engineer of Record for California projects.
Model structures using RISA, CFS, SAP2000, Revit, and AutoCAD.
Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors throughout the project.
