The successful candidate will hold a JD from an accredited school, maintain an active CA Bar license, and bring experience in pre-litigation or related areas. Strong negotiation and client advocacy are essential.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school is required.
• Active California Bar license in good standing is required.
• Experience in pre-litigation, litigation, insurance defense, or related claims strategy is preferred.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and client relationship skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal oversight and strategic direction during early-stage personal injury case development.
• Evaluate liability, damages, insurance coverage, and case value to maximize client outcomes.
• Guide Foundation team on case strategy, evidence collection, and next steps.
• Review insurance policies, UM/UIM claims, liens, and coverage issues affecting case value.
• Monitor medical treatment progression and timing of demand, negotiation, or litigation.
• Communicate with clients within 24 hours and maintain exceptional client service.
• Identify early settlement opportunities and participate in negotiations as appropriate.
• Determine timing for transition to litigation and advise on case posture.
• Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with statutes of limitation.
• Collaborate with Foundation leadership to improve legal strategies and workflows.
